Federal Stimulus funds

I want to chime in on problems with at least one Internet Service
Provider I'm sure is eager to get their hands on our $. Charter
Communications has for years abused its customers by providing poor
customer service, low quality of service, and an overall lack of
concern for customer opinions. I've even been illegally threatened
to have my service terminated for complaining to upper management
(I'm happy to provide you with a copy of that letter and the
subsequent chats I had with a lawyer in the NC AG's office who
resolved it). Charter has decided that it will force customers to
pay $140/month for broadband if they don't want to worry about how
much they download and have failed to provide any tools for those of
us who refuse to pay their extortion to monitor how much we've
used. Charter also fails to provide advertised bandwidth, even when
testing from their own speed servers.

Please do NOT give ANY of my $$$ to ANY ISP that decides that they
are going to extort $ from paying customers for bandwidth usage.

Sincerely,
Brian S. Bergin
