Subject: How the internet should be governed
Well immediately laws should be passed protecting users from
things like net
neutrality which would limit people's usage of the internet
based upon how
much money they are paying their ISP. Whatever body is created
to oversee
these new tasks should work in cooperation with the W3C and
the web
standards project. Heavier enforcement of the creative commons
license so
people can say what they want on the internet. Im not sure
of whether or not
you could have elected officials for such an office because
not to many
politicians or even the general public no the technicalities
of the internet
and could make consienc decisions. It would have to be a public
type thing
where just a select few internet experts sit at the top and
manage the
organization while the public gets final decision which would
basically be
democracy over the internet.
