Subject: Openness and Evenness
Opennness and evenness are the two things that have created
the massive
economic upturn via the Internet and have spawned the two newest
world
wonders: Wikipedia and Google Search. The ability to be free
from censure
or restriction when creating or consuming content has proven
to be a benefit
to worldwide users of the Internet. The lack of hierarchy has
amplified
this as the Internet has allowed, for the first time, people
to interact
publicly and globally as individuals rather than as groups.
It's my opinion that control of the internet should be shared
between
several nations but there must be a permanent stipulation that
no single
body or group of bodies that control the internet should be
capable of
hindering either the openness or the evenness of the network.
