Subject: Running the Internet
Hi there,
The Internet should be run in a manner where crimes such as
identity
theft, child pornography, DDoS attacks and terrorist planning
is
traceable. By that I don't mean anyone monitoring the bits
that fly
over the Internet, but IP addresses should be set up in a more
traceable manner. A person, while anonymous, should be responsible
for their life online and people should be able to track down
IP
addresses to solve minor issues without the involvement of
an authority.
The Internet hasn't until now been designed with security
in mind,
it's time for redesign. Remember that the Internet now also
serves
as a medium for millions of people, many of which not capable
to keep
their computers secure.
I also beg you to gain control of domain registration problems,
with
registrars mass registering domains and taking interesting
domains
without paying for them, only to place advertisements and try
to sell
them overpriced to consumers.
Thanks for your excellent idea to get opinions from the people.
