Subject: Government and the Internet
The Internet has flourished, in part, because it is the last
bastion for
unfettered expression in the U.S.. Articles written by unknown
individuals can be accessed by millions - and for free! It's
disturbing
to think that a heritage of revolution, freedom, and pioneering
has led
to a society that will allow its government to sell its last
remaining
public forum to the highest bidder. Never has there been such
a
democratic form of media, and the sheer number of people posting
their
ideas and creativity shows that there is a great need for such
forum.
Please don't allow anyone to price it out of its usefulness. |
