1. Introduce a xxx topleveldomain for xxx-related sites. Xxx-related
sites
then obligatorily HAVE to use www.theirname.xxx. Then, it's
very easy for
companies to exclude much of the porn which resides on the
internet. Since
Icann couldn't/wouldn't allow this xxx-domain, there is now
going to be
more chaos on the internet, like the Turkey-initiative to uphold
it's own
version of 'internet' with personalized tld-names.
2. Abolish the policy that domainnames can be used BEFORE payment
is done.
MANY spammers use the 5-day free period and then just register
another
free random name. Commercial interests of companies should
and need to be
of less importance then the possibility for spammers to abuse
the 5-day
period.
3. Verisign shoud be non-profit in every aspect. If not, then
they can't
be trusted... by definition! In this respect, Icann should
do everything
it can to push Verisign in that direction.
4. Icann itself should be non-profit in every aspect. Otherwise,
THEIR
subjective opinion rules, or matters more than other opinions.
Since Icann
is a US-organisation: as long as Icann is not a non-profit
organisation,
US political (esp. the righthand (commercial) wing, since the
righthand
wing is more opportunistic by definition) views are more prevelant
than
they should be. As long as Icann is not a non-profit organisation,
US
political views are more prevelant than political views of
other
countries. By definition, that would be arrogant which in return
results
in hate (and (terroristic) war) towards the US. Icann should
attract
people of other countries to get more objective view of points. |
