Subject: Freedom?
If one claims to be "the land of the free", one should
not discriminate
against that freedom in every part of society. For the internet
as it is
today is very much a part of society, people have online personalities,
forums where they go to share their most personal feelings
and sites that
provide news that differ from the official ones that their
government
censored. Therefore, restricting the internet in any way is
the same as
restricting the freedoms and social changes that have happened
since the
start of the "internet age". It is the same as restricting
your movements
on the street. It is, for lack of a better term, like "martial
law on the
internet".
Thank you for reading this. On behalf of the free world,
I hope you make
the right decision.
