Subject: email regarding ICANN contract.
It is my personal belief, that while the US was instrumental
in
creating, and maintaining the internet since it's inception,
that ICANN
needs to become an international organization, not based
on ANY
preexisting government, but a new international organization,
dedicated
to the internet, and not a country. I believe it should
be similar to
G8 or UN where by there are members from "member countries" (ie
US,
Canada, UK, etc etc), and that each country should have
equal members,
and/or they have to be voted in by their country's people,
so that there
is no one person that is being given unfair advantage.
Barring the above, move control of the internet to the
United Nations,
with the limitations, that they can not change it in
anyway, shape, or
form from it's current design.
Thank you,
Allan Vander-Spek
