free and neutral from all telecommunications providers
(as it is right now). That means, once the user pays
a monthly access fee, the user can access any part of
the internet without restrictions. Once you tier up the
internet as with cable TV, you take away an essential
educational and communication tool. Net neutrality is
important because if not, it would be like having a library
system where the wealthier people who pay more taxes
respectively has better access to the library (e.g. can
borrow more books and different type of books) than those
who pay less taxes. |
