Subject: How the internet should be run

Thank you for the opportunity.

I am in favor of net neutrality. The internet should be run in the consumer's favor, not industry's... even if that requires regulation. I'm paying for high speed access, and I would like to keep the access I am paying for, regardless what I use that bandwidth for.

My fear is that the communications industry's lobbyists will push congress to enact legislation that will allow them to slow down the content I want (that they do not make money on), while allowing content they profit from to flow at the highest speeds. I want free choice on the internet and a level playing field for all content providers. The telcos want to "double-dip" - make money at both ends. They have their stockholders in mind; legislators should keep the public interest as their foremost concern.
