Subject: How the Internet should be controlled. My thoughts...
Okay, first off, we need better security. As phishing
sites rise daily I see
no plans whatsoever to end them. That is a huge problem
with the internet
these days. There must be a way to control it.
Since ICANN is keeping control, I would have a plan
to speed up the internet
as well... it's 2006... the world is almost dependant
on the internet...
faster speeds is all we need and then our limits are
endless.
Dial-Up needs to be extinct. End it off as it has become
the slowest option
ever. I know ISP's control that, but if ICANN can put
some pressure on
companies (i.e. AOL, Earthlink, etc) then they will further
their ventures
into the world of DSL and Broadband, which would also
cheapen the prices. T1
lines need to be cheaper and formatted so regular home
users can use it. I
know right now you can, but they are mainly meant for
big corporations.
Better Security, faster speeds... the main things.
As for it really being controlled, assign a group of
technicians to hourly
check to make sure it's being ran.
The future is the world wide web, control it with better
security. Be harder
on criminals who abuse the law... be harder on the companies
that use the
law to make sure they are using it correctly and not
just wasting it.
That's my thoughts...
