Subject: The Internet
hi, i'm responding to a link that i found in relation
to a newscientist article about everyday people having
their own say in some of the internet policies. and so
here it is:
I beleive that the internet should'nt be run at all. At the very
most, and i do mean the very most, observers should be put in
place to monitor for INTERNATIONALLY illegal websites and activities.
By this i mean that culturallly variant laws that are broken
in cyberspace should be ignored, whereas crimes such as paedophilia
should definatley be dealt with appropriatley.
However my main point remains valid (well in my view and hopefully
in others), that there should be no censorship and, near, complete
freedom retained.
I believe in this wholeheartedly as the internet is the one and
only completley free medium of expression that the human race
has ever known (and i fear that if certain organistations get
their way it may be last)
