Subject: Keep Internet Neutral
Do not allow the companies controlling access to the
internet today to
charge different rates for different content. As the
internet was paid
for by taxpayers and rate payers, these companies have
no call to
essentially regulate (and maybe even censor) what I want
to do on the
internet, and that would indeed be the result of permitting
them to go
ahead with their tiered pricing plan.
Since these companies will apparently not leave the
network alone
voluntarily anymore, then as a voter and a taxpayer I
fully expect my
government to take whatever steps are necessary - INCLUDING
regulation
- to keep the net neutral for all users.
Sincerely,
Blair C. Saxman
