Subject: ICANN

Dear whomever,

I cannot express adequately my dismay at hearing that the U.S. Government is in charge of both, the structuring of the internet pathway and the "passing on of the torch" so to speak of it.

For the longest time, I thought ICANN was independent of Government review... How gullible I am!

Having said that, let us not quibble about the deception, let the Chinese have their day in the sun and assume control. I imagine world pressure would result in their ultimate capitulation of internet law and teach them a valuable lesson on the "terms of control" and also how they should view themselves in this world.

If China should be deemed a deplorable ward to ICANN then may I suggest the U.N. At least then, popular majority would prevail leaving none to despute that THAT is what a democratic world wanted.

Anyhoo,

I wish we could stay in control. But I guess that is too much to ask nowadays.
