The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has created an open electronic-mail discussion forum (or "listserv") on issues pertaining to the identification of radio spectrum for third generation wireless systems in the United States. The listserv will remain open until July 31, 2001, or such other time that NTIA determines.

Subscribing to the list
========================

To subscribe to the mailing list, send an electronic mail message to

3g-list-request@lists.ntia.doc.gov
leave the subject line blank and put the following command in the body of the message:

join 3g

Sending mail to the list
========================

To send a message to all 3G list members, address your message to

3g@lists.ntia.doc.gov

Leaving the list
================

To stop receiving messages from the list you will need to send a message to 3g-list-request@lists.ntia.doc.gov with

leave 3g

in the body of the message. The subject line is ignored.

Requesting digests
==================

Instead of getting each message from the list separately, you may ask the list server to send you a compendium of all the messages that were sent that day. To do this, send a message to

3g-list-request@lists.ntia.doc.gov

and have the body of the message say

digest 3g

The list manager will send you a confirmation message back and every 24 hours you will receive a single e-mail message with that day's messages.
