2.  Presentation by Lumenix                                    1:40-2:10

     Lumenix will give a responsive presentation to requirements that were outlined by the

     Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Federal Highway Administration

     (FHWA).

 

3. Presentation by National                                                 2:10-2:30

   Roadside Assistance Association

     The National Roadside Assistance Association will give a presentation on wireless *811

     communications  for timely non-emergency response outside the 911 or E911 venue.                                   

 

4. Presentation by NASA                                                2:30-3:00

     NASA will give a presentation on  the Earth Alert Personal Warning system, which is used to

     gather and distribute warning information.

 

5. Presentation by QUALCOMM                                    3:00-3:30

QUALCOMM will give a presentation on  its Ku-band, two-way messaging and       position tracking satellite system known as OmniTRACS

 

6. Presentation by Vanu                                    3:30-4:00

Vanu will give a presentation on software defined radio.

 

7. Wrap-up by Chair                                       4:00

 

WICI, an initiative of the Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), is designed to provide a venue for the federal government to promote innovative thinking in the development and utilization of new communications technologies. Specific goals of the WICI are to identify new wireless technologies and new spectrum management approaches that will enable federal users to satisfy their communications needs more effectively and efficiently, and to encourage private sector innovation and greater public/private cooperation. The WICI Committee, established as an ad hoc committee of the Interdepartment Radio Advisory Committee, is composed of senior experts from various federal government agencies.
