Audrey Choi is Chief of Staff of the President's
Council of Economic Advisors (CEA). The CEA analyses
economic trends and developments for the President
and advises the President on national economic policies.
As Chief of Staff, Ms. Choi oversees the management
of the agency as well as the writing and production
of the annual Economic Report of the President.
Previously she served as domestic policy advisor
to Vice President Gore, specializing in electronic
commerce and Internet issues. Before joining the
Vice President's staff, Ms. Choi was Director of
Strategic Policy at the National Telecommunications
and Information Administration at the Department
of Commerce, and a White House Fellow at the Federal
Communications Commission.
Prior to her government career, Ms. Choi spent
seven years as a reporter for The Wall Street
Journal and Dow Jones, including assignments
as a foreign correspondent and bureau chief in Germany
in the immediate post-reunification period. In Germany,
she was responsible for covering German politics,
economics, social, and foreign policy. She also covered
the European auto industry, steel industry, chemical
industry, small business and venture capital.
