Speaker:

Justin Maxson

Justin Maxson is Executive Director of the Progressive Technology Project (PTP). PTP seeks to strengthen citizen action, increase public participation by under-represented communities, and build stronger grassroots organizations by supporting the effective use of information technology. Justin coordinates PTP's various programs and manages PTP's strategic planning, staff, and fundraising.

Prior to joining PTP, Justin spent three years working with the Mountain Association for Community Economic Development as Director of Community Development, creating and coordinating grassroots sustainable development organizations in eastern Kentucky. For two years he was Operations Manager for San Francisco Community Recyclers.

He has a master's degree in Anthropology from Boston University.
