Kim Miller, director of the Philadelphia
Interactive Business Network (PIBN), has more than 20
years sales and marketing experience in the technology
industry. PIBN is the online version of the 10-year-old
business incubator system pioneered in Philadelphia by The
Enterprise Center.
Prior to joining The Enterprise Center, Ms. Miller
led client development marketing efforts for a number
of high-tech software companies in the United States,
Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Most recently,
she directed sales and marketing for IPM Computer
Systems in New York. She also developed a channel
sales strategy and marketing campaign for TeleMagic,
Inc., a Dallas-based sales automation software company,
that dramatically increased market-share for an American
software publisher operating in Australia.
Ms. Miller, who has worked at The Enterprise Center
since 1998, was responsible for the Center’s
marketing, public relations, and advertising operation
until taking on this new assignment. Now, through
the PIBN program and the use of advanced networking
technologies, Ms Miller’s program will train
more than 500 potential adult entrepreneurs in Internet
technology with the goal of developing 20 new firms.
Participants will use high-speed Internet connection
in labs, at their workplaces, or in their homes to
access PIBN’s training and mentoring programs
and collaborate on business ventures. In addition,
more than 1,200 youth will be exposed to technology-based
entrepreneurship and will create a youth-run website
development company.
Ms Miller is a native of Philadelphia. Educated
at California State University of Los Angeles, she
is a member of the American Marketing Association.
