Dear Secretary Daley:
I am writing to express concern about the proposed membership of the interim Board for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
Although the Administration's White Paper called for the Board to include representatives of international trademark holders, in fact trademark owners are not represented on the interim Board.
Eastman Kodak Company is the owner of one of the best known international trademarks and is increasingly using the Internet in its global informational, marketing and sales activities. Representation of trademark holders on the ICANN Board is very important to the successful commercial development of the Internet.
Therefore, I ask that you reconsider the composition of the Board and make arrangements for the fair representation of international trademark holders.
Thank you for your consideration of these comments.
Very truly yours,
David C. Stimson
