I believe that IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority] has recommended proposed new board members for the new Not-for-Profit organisation.

According to the White Paper, released by NTIA of the US Department of Commerce on June 5, 1998, the future management of the Internet should reflect the global diversity of Internet users. We note however that the continent of Africa is not represented on the proposed board of the new organisation.

Notwithstanding such recommendation in the White Paper, it seems to us as if trade mark holders are also absent from the proposed board, i.e. trade mark interests are not properly represented.

In the circumstances, it will be greatly appreciated if you will draw the attention of the relevant authorities to our concerns.
