Special Meeting of the IRAC Regarding GPS Re-Radiators

October 28, the Interdepartment Radio Advisory Committee (IRAC) held a special meeting at the Department of Commerce building (1401 Constitution Ave, NW Washington, DC) to receive information on GPS Re-Radiators. The purpose of the meeting was to provide the IRAC information regarding GPS Re-Radiators so that the IRAC can provide to NTIA advice on the subject. Please note that NTIA's current policy on the use of GPS Re-Radiators is stated within the NTIA Manual at Subsection 8.3.28 (http://www.ntia.doc.gov/osmhome/redbook/redbook.html). These devices cannot be authorized under FCC Rules Part 15 or the NTIA Manual Sections 7.8 or 7.9.
