Wireless Systems Onboard Commercial Aircraft |
PDF slides |
| The Boeing Company is provisioning the 787 and other future commercial
aircraft with wireless systems that will operate in the 125-135 kHz,
860-960 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz frequency bands. These aircraft will fly
worldwide. The U.S. Government operates radiolocation, radionavigation
and other systems in portions of these bands. Operation of planned
wireless systems onboard commercial aircraft will not negatively impact
these services. Boeing's presentation will discuss our planned uses of
wireless systems onboard commercial aircraft; their power levels; and
results of studies performed on airframe attenuation and DFS
implementation. |
