As indicated in the Federal Funding Opportunity Notice and "Frequently Asked Questions," NTIA has adopted policies/procedures intended to provide funding that will help public television stations meet the Federal Communications Commission's requirements for digital television digital conversion.

• DTV Equipment List. NTIA has established a special DTV Equipment List. The list consists of the equipment eligible for PTFP funding in the Broadcast Other category.
  
  
• Use of CPB Funds. Applicants may propose using CPB funds as part of their local match upon a showing of "clear and compelling need," in accordance with established PTFP rules (see 2301.6(c)(2)). This PTFP rule does not supplant any limitations CPB may place on the use of its grant funds.
