- ONLINE TOOLS HELP DESK. If can not find the answer to your question through the FAQ, you can contact TOP's Online Tools Help Desk. The Help Desk is reachable via email at OnlineToolsHelp@ntia.doc.gov or via phone at 202-482-2048. The Help Desk is available Monday through Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. EST.
If you contact the Help Desk regarding an error message, it is helpful to identify the web page you encountered the problem, the time it was encountered, and the specific actions that lead to the problem.
- KNOWN PROBLEMS. Below are a list of problems encountered by users and suggested solutions.
- "Invalid Session" Error Messages. Certain users may encounter the error message "Invalid Session" after they have logged onto the system and attempt to use one of TOP's Online Tools. The error message "Invalid Session" appears because the computer used is switching IP addresses as the user moves through TOP's system. TOP system's security does not allow address switching in order to prevent session hijacking and hacker entry. Remedy: If you encounter the message "Invalid Session," please inform your network/system administrators of the information above. If your network/system administrators are unable to solve the problem, please have them contact the ONLINE TOOLS HELP DESK.
