STEPS IN PREPARING A PTFP APPLICATION

The following information will provide you with detailed guidance for preparing your PTFP grant application.

1. READ the Federal Funding Opportunity Notice for the FY 2008 grant round.

  Eligible Applicants   Matching Funds Requirements






Alert: Non-Broadcast Applicants: Read the Policy Statement which applies to the FY 2008 Grant Cycle.

2. Use the following table to:

(1) Identify your project,
(2) select the PTFP Priority under which you request your application be reviewed, and
(3) review the six Evaluation Criteria you must address in your application.

3. SELECT equipment and pricing from the PTFP Equipment Lists for typical Radio, Television and Nonbroadcast projects. Applicants should also refer to the List of Eligible and Ineligible Equipment.


4. PREPARE your Narrative and Exhibits using the Criteria/Guidelines suggested for your type of project selected in item #2.


5. COMPLETE the PTFP Application Form.

The official PTFP Application Form expires October 31, 2009; no previous edition may be used.

Many parts of the application can be completed using the On-Line Fillable Form. It provides instructions for each question, automatic review for completeness, and checks all math.

The Application Form is also available as a PDF file for download. PTFP does not accept facsimile or email applications.

6. SEND a copy of the first two pages of your application to your State Single Point of Contact and State Telecommunications Agency, if your state has these offices.


7. ASSEMBLE the application materials so the review panel can easily locate information in your application.


8. SIGN, DATE and SEND your application so it is received at PTFP by the Closing Date, February 22, 2008, 5:00 p.m.
