Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security

Massachusetts, through its Public Safety Broadband Office (PSBO), will use its existing Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) and to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The Commonwealth intends to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of the process, and plans to utilize and the new SLIGP education and outreach coordinator, the SIEC, five existing Regional Homeland Security Councils, as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Massachusetts intends to continue SIEC participation and utilize face-to-face meetings to engage its two federally recognized tribes in public safety broadband planning efforts.
