New Jersey will utilize its Public Safety Communications Advisory Council (Advisory Council),  Statewide Public Safety Communications Commission (Commission), and Office of Information Technology to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State intends to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of the process, and to use the Commission, the Advisory Council, and its four existing homeland security regions as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.
