North Carolina Office of Information Technology Services
North Carolina will use its existing Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP). The State plans to utilize the SIEC, its nine domestic preparedness regions, the Association of County Commissioners, and the League of Municipalities as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions. North Carolina intends to leverage existing tribal participation on the SIEC to engage its federally recognized tribe in ongoing public safety broadband planning efforts.
