Congress authorized NTIA to use no more than $5 million for consumer education for the DTV Converter Box Coupon Program. NTIA is leveraging those funds through partners. We are working closely with the DTV Transition Coalition, a group made up of broadcasters, consumer electronics retailers, manufacturers, and consumer organizations, who will undertake a wide-reaching public awareness campaign to reach consumers. NTIA is also running its own campaign, developing partnerships to reach out to those households and communities most in need of the Coupon Program.
NTIA has developed Program Materials that provide useful information about the TV Converter Box Coupon Program.
