Notification to Congress Pursuant to 47 U.S.C. § 923(j)(2) Regarding the 1695-1710 MHz and 1755-1780 MHz (AWS-3) Spectrum Bands

June 06, 2014

On June 4, 2014, NTIA sent a letter to the Chairman and Ranking Members of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce notifying Congress of NTIA's determination that relocation of certain federal entities from the 1695-1710 MHz and 1755-1780 MHz spectrum bands is not feasible because of technical or cost constraints.  The notifications were among the requirements of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012.
