The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (‘‘NTIA’’) proposes to follow First Responder Network Authority’s (‘‘FirstNet Authority’’) National Environmental Policy Act (‘‘NEPA’’) procedures on an interim basis with modifications to account for NTIA’s internal organization and establish 33 categorical exclusions (‘‘CEs’’) in compliance with NEPA, the Council on Environmental Quality (‘‘CEQ’’) regulations, and other related authorities.

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) issues this Notice to seek expressions of interest from individuals who would like to serve on the Board of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority Board or Board). One of the 12 non-permanent members to the FirstNet Authority Board resigned prior to the end of his term. The Secretary of Commerce will appoint an individual to complete that Board member’s term through September 2024.

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) will hold two public listening sessions to assist in its preparation of a National Spectrum Strategy (NSS) for the United States. NTIA is seeking input from the public as it develops a Strategy that identifies the actions needed to maximize the potential of our nation’s spectrum resources. Access to spectrum contributes to technological innovation and economic growth and is critical to national security, public safety, and other national priorities.

The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) on Wednesday began seeking comment on identifying airwaves for more intensive use and innovative new uses by both the private sector and federal agencies.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, also known (and referred to subsequently herein) as IIJA or the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, includes a historic investment of $65 billion to help close the digital divide and ensure that everyone in America has access to affordable, reliable, high-speed Internet service. The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is responsible for distributing more than $48 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding through several different programs.

This notice announces a public meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (Committee). The Committee provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) on spectrum management policy matters.

The meeting will be held March 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST).

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) requests comments addressing issues at the intersection of privacy, equity, and civil rights. The comments, along with information gathered through the three listening sessions that NTIA held on this topic, will inform a report on whether and how commercial data practices can lead to disparate impacts and outcomes for marginalized or disadvantaged communities.
