Arizona

Arizona Department of Administration – ASET PSIC Office

Arizona will utilize its existing Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC) Office and the Arizona Public Safety Broadband Network Workgroup to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP).  The State plans to update their Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of the process, and will use the homeland security regional advisory councils, regional communication system committees, and county emergency managers as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  Arizona will leverage previously established relationships and rely on existing tribal agencies and associations, including the Arizona Commission for Indian Affairs and the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona Inc., to engage its 22 federally recognized tribes in public safety broadband planning efforts.
