Connecticut

Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection

Connecticut will use its existing Public Safety State Interoperability Executive Committee to implement the SLIGP, and intends to update its Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan during the process.  The State plans to use a variety of education and outreach methods and coordinate with representative organizations from multiple disciplines in order to effectively engage stakeholders about public safety broadband developments.  Connecticut’s tribal communities have been actively engaged in previous emergency management activities, and the State will reach out to these communities to ensure their continued involvement.
