Iowa

Iowa Department of Public Safety

Iowa will use its existing Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System Board (ISICSB) to implement the State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP), and intends to update its Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan as part of the process.  The State plans to use its six regional interoperability committees as the primary vehicles for education and outreach to local jurisdictions.  The ISICSB has engaged with Iowa’s single federally recognized tribe in the past, and intends to continue tribal outreach about public safety broadband planning efforts.
