Routing security ensures that Internet traffic reaches its intended target. Misconfigurations or manipulations of routing information can lead to significant degradation and loss of service.

Every three years, the U.S. Copyright Office reviews and occasionally recommends expanding legal protections rooted in Section 1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 for circumventing access controls on copyrighted works. Last week, the Copyright Office concluded its most recent review and issued its recommendations.

On September 3, 2024, the White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) released the Roadmap to Enhancing Internet Routing Security report. The report recommends actions the federal government and all Internet networks should take to advance routing security.

WASHINGTON – The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) today launched an inquiry into how federal policy can support the growth of U.S. data centers to meet the coming demand from artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies.

WASHINGTON – The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced today that it received 227 applications requesting more than $2.94 billion in funding to support wireless equipment innovation.

On Wednesday, the Biden-Harris Administration announced the formal launch of the $1.5 billion Innovation Fund, an initiative designed to support the development of open and interoperable 5G and future generation technologies. Funded by the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, this historic investment aims to drive wireless innovation, strengthen supply chain resilience, and unlock opportunities for new and emerging companies to compete in the global telecommunications market.
