Private equity investor and telecommunications executive

Barry Boniface has more than two decades of business and corporate management experience with particular focus on building, expanding and financing communications companies. He is currently a partner with MSouth Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm, where he is investing in and assisting in the growth of a number of middle market companies throughout the U.S. Prior to joining MSouth in May 2012, Boniface spent five years as chairman and head of communications and media mergers and acquisitions for Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. Prior to that he spent a decade during two separate stints at Bell South, most recently as the telecom company’s chief strategy and development officer. He has been involved on both the corporate side and the advisory side of a number of the largest merger and acquisition transactions in the telecom industry including BellSouth/AT&T, Cingular/AT&T Wireless, CenturyLink/Qwest, Sprint/Clearwire, BellSouth LatAm/Telefonica, amongst others.  He holds a MBA from Emory University and a BBA from Southern Methodist University.
