FirstNet publishes this notice to request public comments on its proposed procedures for implementing the National Environmental Policy Act, 42 U.S.C. § 4321 et seq. (NEPA). Comments on the proposed procedures must be received by February 7, 2014.

SUMMARY: The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) will convene meetings of a privacy multistakeholder process concerning the commercial use of facial recognition technology. This Notice announces the meetings to be held in February, March, April, May, and June 2014. The first meeting is scheduled for February 6, 2014.

The FirstNet Board will convene open public meetings of the Board Committees on December 16, 2013, in Denver, Colorado. There will be sequential meetings of FirstNet’s four committees: (1) Governance and Personnel Committee; (2) Finance, Audit and Budget Committee; (3) Planning and Technology Committee; and (4) Outreach Committee. The meetings are open to the public and press, and will be webcast.

The FirstNet Board will convene an open public meeting on December 17, 2013,  in Denver, Colorado 80207. This meeting is open to the public and press, and will be webcast.

NTIA and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), with the support of the National Coordination Office of the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) program, will co-host the Innovative Spectrum Sharing Technology Day on November 5, 2013. The Technology Day will showcase advances in spectrum sharing and other innovations and initiatives aimed at satisfying the nation’s surging demand for wireless services, devices and applications. The event  will be held on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Standard at the U.S.

NTIA will convene a meeting to discuss ‘‘lessons learned’’ from NTIA’s Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC) Working Group process. The meeting will be held on December 13, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time at the U.S. Department of Commerce, 1401 Constitution Avenue NW., Room 4830, Washington, DC 20230.

This notice announces a public meeting of the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee. The Committee provides advice to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information on spectrum management policy matters. The meeting will be held on December 13, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time.
