NTIA's BroadbandUSA Program will host a Broadband Workshop in Reno, Nevada on September 27, 2019. The purpose of the Workshop is to engage the public and stakeholders with information to accelerate broadband connectivity, improve digital inclusion, and support local priorities. The Workshop will provide information on topics including local broadband planning, funding, and engagement with service providers.

On March 19, 2019, NTIA published a notice seeking expressions of interest in an appointment to the Board of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). The notice established a deadline of April 18, 2019 for the transmittal of expressions of interest. This notice reopens the period for submission of expressions of interest until April 26, 2019.

NTIA issues this Notice on behalf of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) to initiate the annual process to seek expressions of interest from individuals who would like to serve on the FirstNet Board. One of the 12 appointments of nonpermanent members to the FirstNet Board will expire in August 2019. NTIA issues this Notice to obtain expressions of interest in being appointed by the Secretary to the FirstNet Board.

On behalf of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) requests comments from interested parties with regard to development of a comprehensive, long-term national spectrum strategy. NTIA seeks broad input from interested stakeholders, including private industry, academia, civil society, and other experts.
