TBCP Award

The Cowlitz Indian Tribe received approximately $7.5 million for use and adoption activities and has distributed laptops to Tribal members for remote work, telehealth, and remote education purposes. The Cowlitz Indian Tribe also distributed a survey to its Tribal citizens regarding use and adoption, Internet accessibility and challenges, and device usage.

Events

Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP) staff assisted in the coordination of Tribal consultations between the State of Washington and Tribal governments that share their continuous borders to ensure Tribal priorities are heard by the state’s broadband office (SBO).

TBCP staff attended and presented at the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Mid-Year Convention hosted by the Coeur D'Alene Tribe in Worley, Idaho. At this event, TBCP staff along with SBO personnel from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho discussed state Tribal coordination with the Tribal governments present.
